To mark 100 years since the unveiling of Harrogate’s Cenotaph, a refined and understated identity was developed—one that reflects the solemnity of remembrance while maintaining a timeless presence.
The branding is monochrome, minimal, and precise, mirroring the stark simplicity of the monument itself. A restrained palette of black, white, and grey reinforces the gravity of the 1162 names inscribed on the Cenotaph. Clean, modern typography ensures clarity while maintaining a sense of reverence.
As part of the centenary, a legacy website was created to provide a lasting digital archive where the stories behind each name are preserved for future generations.
A century on, the Cenotaph stands unchanged. This identity ensures its meaning remains just as powerful.
